Getting started
- Open Settings → Accessibility → Touch → AssistiveTouch and turn on AssistiveTouch.
- Add Analytics to Customize Top Level Menu, tap Analytics in the floating menu and wait for the system to finish collecting data.
- Open Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Analytics Data. Search for “sysd”, open the file matching the time you generated it, and save it to Files.
- Return to Wireless Trace, choose New Analysis, confirm authorization and select the saved archive.
- After the free file check succeeds, purchase or use an analysis credit to generate and view the results.
System menu names may vary by iOS version. Use only your own device or files for which you have explicit authorization.
Frequently asked questions
No network records, or an import failed?
Select a complete system diagnostic archive, not a screenshot, shortcut or another log. For files in iCloud Drive, confirm that downloading has finished. The app will notify you if the source has no recognizable Wi-Fi data, is damaged or exceeds processing limits.
When is a purchased credit consumed?
A successful payment adds one local analysis credit. It is deducted only when results are successfully saved; a failed analysis does not consume it. Consumable credits cannot be recovered with Restore Purchases, and unused credits cannot be restored after deleting the app.
Is this a complete connection history?
No. It shows only the network information still retained in the file. An added date is not necessarily the first connection, and a disconnection time alone cannot prove the device's location.
Will it show a location or coordinates?
No. The current version does not extract or store coordinates, request location permission or infer the physical location of a device or its user.
How do I delete a record?
In Recent Imports on the home screen, swipe left on the record, choose Delete and confirm. This removes only the app's local snapshot. Delete the original archive separately in Files.
Do I need an account or Wi-Fi password?
No registration is required. The app does not read Wi-Fi passwords or scan nearby networks, and does not upload diagnostic archives or results during analysis.
