1. About this policy
Screen Trace is a tool that analyzes files you choose and generates reports locally. This policy explains how information is handled when the app reads files, organizes records, generates reports, displays past reports and provides in-app purchases.
2. Data we process
The app gains permission to read a file only after you select it. To create reports, it may read system records concerning device information, app usage times, camera and microphone activity, keyboard interfaces, screen locks, AirDrop and app uninstallation. Reports display only sections that were successfully extracted.
Original files may contain extensive device activity information. Analyze only files from your own device or files explicitly authorized by the device owner.
3. How data is processed
File analysis and PDF report generation take place locally on your device. Screen Trace does not upload selected original system files, analysis results or generated reports to our servers.
The app does not use advertising-tracking SDKs, build cross-app user profiles or sell your data.
4. Local storage and deletion
Generated reports and the report index needed to display past reports may be stored locally in the app. You can delete reports in the app. Uninstalling also removes data in its local sandbox. Copies exported to Files or other locations must be deleted separately.
5. In-app purchases
If you purchase report-generation credits, Apple's App Store handles payment and transactions. Screen Trace receives only the transaction status needed to confirm a purchase and does not directly collect or store card numbers or other payment credentials. Report credits are consumable products. Unused credits are stored only in the app on the current device and cannot be restored across devices or after deleting the app.
6. Support emails
If you contact us, we use the email address and message you provide to respond. Unless support explicitly confirms that it is necessary, do not email complete system diagnostic files, account information or other sensitive material.
7. Children's privacy
This product is not designed for children. Minors should use it with a guardian's knowledge and guidance and must not analyze unauthorized devices or files.
8. Policy updates
We may update this policy for changes in features, legal requirements or app review requirements. Significant changes will be noted in app release notes or on this page. An updated policy applies from the effective date shown on the page.
